Renting Induction Loops for the Hearing-impaired

In order to provide accessible, high-quality, simultaneous interpreting channels for the hearing-impaired participants, KT Serviss offers induction systems developed by Bosch and Listen, two professional conference audio equipment manufacturers.

People with hearing aids can’t benefit from the standard headsets used in conferences to listen to simultaneous interpreting, so special technology has been developed for the hearing-impaired with which they can listen to the simultaneous interpreting channel by using their hearing aid together with a simultaneous interpreting receiver.

An induction system amplifier is connected to a simultaneous interpreting receiver and converts the audio signal into electrical current. The coil that is built into the hearing aid receives this magnetic field and converts it into an audio signal.

By switching listening modes, the user of the hearing aid and the induction loop device can block the ambient noise in the hearing aid and amplify the sounds received from the induction system.
